Asma Lamnawar is a Moroccan singer. She began her singing career in 1995 at the age of 17 Through Moroccan Radio and TV festival Angham, where she won the prize for best interpretation. Her best known hits include Safi, Hakawa, Wana Maak, Mashi Rojoula, and Bas Ama Ashoufak. Asma released her debut album, “ناري” (“Fiery”), in 2002, followed by her second album, “شي عادي” (“Something Normal”) in 2005. She signed with Rotana in 2008. Born on July 25, 1978 in Casablanca, Morocco, she participated in the ‘Angham’ program and won the title. She attended at University of Hassan II Casablanca in Casablanca, Morocco. She also studied music for three years at the Musical Institute in Casablanca. She is married to Tunisian composer Issam Chraiti. Together they have one son, Muhammad Adam.
