Dairis Bertans is a Latvian professional basketball player who plays for New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association. Bertāns also represents the senior Latvian national team. At a height of 1.93 m tall, and a weight of 91 kg, Bertāns plays mainly at the shooting guard position. Born on September 9, 1989 in Valmiera, Latvia, to parents Dina Bertāne and Dainis Bertāns, he is the older brother of Dāvis Bertāns. His father was a professional basketball player and is currently a youth coach while his mother is a sports teacher and a former high-level rower. Between 2004 and 2006, Bertāns played for Valmiera and its junior team. In 2006, Bertāns signed with ASK Rīga. He has been married to Inna Bertāne since 2015.
