She is best known for her hit single “Girl of the Month Club” and her roles in the films Young Billy Young, and Strangers at Sunrise. Her theater credits include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, and A Taste of Honey. Born on August 19, 1948 in Manhattan, New York, to parents Dean Martin and Elizabeth (Betty) MacDonald, she moved to Beverly Hills, California with her family by the age of one. She trained professionally at the Dartington College of Arts in the United Kingdom. In 1966, she made her television debut on The Dean Martin Show. Martin’s recording career was began with producer Lee Hazlewood at Reprise Records. She is married to John Griffeth.
