She is best known for her roles in television, such as CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Sopranos, Oz, On My Block, The Shield, Devious Maids, Guiding Light and All My Children, and in the films Clockstoppers, Man of the House and the Harold & Kumar series. Born Paula Maria Santos Garcés on March 20, 1974 in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia, to parents Gonzalo Garcés and Victoria Tobón, she moved to New York City with her parents, when Garces was just seven years old. Garces began acting in commercials hired by agent Diego Santiago, her father’s best friend. She had her first child, daughter Skye Mahoney, with her ex-boyfriend. In 2002 she married entrepreneur and producer Antonio Hernandez with whom she has a son, Antonio Andres Hernandez.
