Rolene Strauss is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2014 and Miss World 2014. Strauss became the 3rd South African woman to be crowned Miss World, after Penelope Anne Coelen in 1958 and Anneline Kriel in 1974. Currently, she is the chairperson of the non-profit organization The Strauss Foundation. Born on April 22, 1992 in Volksrust, South Africa, she is the daughter of physician Hennie Strauss and nurse Theresa Strauss. Strauss studied medicine at the University of Freestate.
