Turkish actress and model who rose to fame after appearing in the 2008 film Plajda. She made her acting debut with a small role as Itır in 2006’s movie Şaşkın. She competed in the 2010 Miss Turkey pageant, and came in as first runner up, losing to Gizem Memiç, and qualified to represent Turkey on the Miss Universe contest. However, she dropped this chance as she wanted to further pursue her acting career. Serenay was born to Seyhan Umran and Mustafa Sarikaya, in Ankara, Turkey on 1 July 1991. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old, and was raised by her mother. She attended Antalya Saime Salih Konca High School.
