Shivaji’s notable film roles include Uttarayan, Vaastav, Kurukshetra and 100 Days. He has been nominated for the Best Actors award for Star Screen Awards for Ghulam-E-Mustafa.

Born on April 21, 1950 in Bombay, Bombay State, India, Shivaji worked for Central Bank before joining the film industry. He made his screen debut in 1980 in the TV series Rishte-Naate. In 2000, Shivaji lost his wife Aruna Satam of Cancer. He is the father of Abhijeet Satam who is married to Madhura Velankar, daughter of veteran actor Pradeep Velankar.
